Professional Publishing Services If you've ever thought you had a book in you that needed to be published... Saber Press may be able to work with you to make your ideas a reality.
Submission Guidelines We are currently accepting manuscripts for consideration. All submissions will be handled with great care to ensure your privacy. We are interested in material that will be of interest to our particular audience, the law enforcement, military, and corporate security sectors. We offer full publishing services as well as free consultation services to assist you in making your project a reality. To ensure that your submission is processed with a minimum of delays, please follow these guidelines: 1) HARD COPY (paper) SUBMISSIONS: Send an outline describing the work along with one or two sample chapters. You may also submit the entire manuscript if you prefer. If there are photographs and/or illustrations in the work, samples of each should also be submitted. 2) ELECTRONIC SUBMISSIONS: You may also submit your project in electronic format. PC-based programs/files are being accepted at this time. MS Word files are preferred. CD/DVD/3.5" disks or thumb drives may be mailed to us, or you may email sample chapters in MS Word or Adobe PDF files. 3) Keep copies of all materials you send to us. DO NOT SEND US THE ONLY EXISTING COPY OF YOUR ORIGINAL MANUSCRIPT! 4) Please call or email us prior to submitting any work. We will notify you after we have received your manuscript/samples. We will contact you to discuss the project with you as soon as possible after receiving your manuscript, usually within 1-2 weeks. 5) If you want your sample materials returned to you, include a self-addressed, stamped envelope with proper postage with your submission. Otherwise, any materials submitted will either be kept on file with Saber Press or destroyed after final disposition.

The Saber Press Ten Commandments for Writing the Book... I. Thou shalt write even just 1 page per day... every day. (That's 300 pages in just 10 months!) II. Thou shalt learn to use your "free time" productively (See # I). III. Thou shalt learn to ignore distractions such as television, telephones, and the Internet. IV. Thou shalt not be discouraged by others. V. Thou shalt not discourage thineself. You can do this! Many others have! VI. Thou shalt write about what you believe in without fear. VII. Thou shalt keep thine ass in the chair until that paragraph works! VIII. Thou shalt use a dictionary and thesaurus as well as Spell-check. IX. Thou shalt revise with a sharp scalpel... X. Thou shalt learn the writing craft by reading the works of others and writing thine own!
When all else fails...
NEGATIVE! Take a break, take a walk, get a coffee or a workout in. Then turn to and get it done.
